NPP are looking for a Technical Sales Executive for our Business. This role is focused on the food industry and is primarily a field-based position. The food industry is vibrant and is undergoing significant change. NPP are a major supplier to the food Industry and represent some of the leading packaging manufacturers in this space, most notably Cryovac (Sealed Air Company).

NPP as a business is growing at 10 to 15% annually. This role will continue to evolve and the responsibilities within the role will evolve also. There is a good opportunity to for somebody to develop their skill set in a challenging business environment. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to shape the development of the role into the future depending on their ability and ambition.

The role requires the suitable candidate to work from their own initiative / have a commercial mind-set and remain focused.

Main responsibilities – Account Manager / Business Developer

Account Manager

  1. Developing trust relationship with a portfolio of accounts and nourish and maintain these relationships accordingly
  2. Account Management – this includes the following: Project management, managing WIP with core services, managing stocks levels, ensuring products and services are delivered in a timely manner.
  3. Responsible for generating reports to include progress reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Logging, distribution, tracking and resolution of all quality issues / non-conformances in accordance with our ISO procedures with the relevant account manager.
  5. Promotional and public relations.

Business Development

  1. Developing Business for Consumables – Flexible Packaging
  2. Developing Business for Machinery/ sales
  3. Market Research
  4. Raising awareness of our range through targeted marketing campaigns / cold calling
  5. Presentation to potential customers
  6. Identifying product sectors for product innovation / disruption

The ideal candidate must have the following attributes:

  4. Good communication skills
  5. Organised
  6. Good knowledge of Microsoft systems
  7. Team Player
  8. Proven track record in a business development role
  9. A third level qualification up to degree standard would be preferable.


As part of the remuneration package, and in addition to a salary and bonus structure, a company car will be provided and is available to take home following work, a fuel card will also be provided, and the company will cover maintenance costs of the vehicle.

In addition, a company mobile phone & laptop will be provided, on the road subsistence expenses will also be covered when on company business.

In this role machinery sales compliment the consumables and provide a complete solution to customers for packaging and packaging machinery. Experience in the packaging / machinery industry would be beneficial.
